Overview and implications of the Age Appropriate Design Code (webinar)

On 2nd September I ran a free GDPR webinar looking at the ICO’s new Age Appropriate Design Code (or the Children’s Code as the ICO is now calling it). This new Code comes into force on the 2nd September 2020 and will be enforced from 2nd September 2021.

During the webinar we covered:

  • Some GDPR background and an introduction to elements of the Code (such as what services are included, what enforcement will look like and what “age appropriate” means)
  • A look at the 15 standards of age appropriate design
  • What this means in practice – what you need to be doing before the September 2021 deadline
