The European Data Protection Board has published its work program for the next couple of years, which includes development of a number of (hopefully) useful guidance documents. You can download the full list here, but of particular interest will be:
- Guidelines on Data Protection by Design and Default
- Guidelines on targeting of social media users
- Guidelines on children’s data
- Guidelines on the reliance by online services of the “contract” lawful basis for processing
- An update on the controller-processor guidance
- An update on the use of legitimate interest as the lawful basis for processing
- Guidelines on individuals’ rights (e.g. access, erasure, restriction, etc.)
- An opinion on the interplay between GDPR and ePrivacy (including work on the ePrivacy regulation)
